Do I need identification?

- Driver License
- State ID
- Passport
You can visit this link for our Minor Policy.
How much do your piercings cost?
All of our piercings (except earlobes) are $32 plus the cost of jewelry. Earlobes are $22 (each) plus the cost of jewelry.
How much does the jewelry cost?
We have an extensive selection of jewelry with a wide range of prices that start between $33-$55. We will be happy to help you select the best piece for both your piercing and your budget at the time of your piercing. We use the highest quality jewelry possible to help ensure that your healing process goes as smoothly as possible!
What kind of jewelry do you pierce with?
We follow all of the jewelry standard guidelines set forth by the APP – Association of Professional Piercers. You can read more about this here. Typically, we prefer to pierce with implant grade titanium (which is the same biocompatible metal used for hip and knee replacements!) or 18k & 14k implant grade nickel-free, conflict-free gold, and genuine gemstones. We only use the highest quality jewelry with the most biocompatible metals!
Do you take walk-ins for piercings?
We absolutely do! Walk-ins are welcome at both our 2520 Summit St. and 1980 N. High St. locations! We recommend coming in as early as you can though as we tend to be very busy. We do make appointments a priority so you may have a little wait.
Do you use piercing guns? What is the piercing process like?
We absolutely do NOT use piercing guns! Ear piercing guns can’t be sterilized and actually do quite a bit of damage to the earlobe. The guns push the actual jewelry straight through your earlobe, tearing the skin. This can cause scarring, does cause tissue damage, and it leaves you with a high risk of infection.
At our studio, we pierce with single-use needles, use an autoclave to sterilize our tools and jewelry, and follow strict hygiene protocols to ensure the health and safety of our clients and employees. When a piercing needle is used, the jewelry is placed in the hollowed-out portion of the needle, protecting you from any blunt force trauma. This technique, combined with the high-quality jewelry we sell, helps our clients to heal easier and faster. All of our piercers are APP – Association of Professional Piercers (safepiercing.org) certified. We follow all of their guidelines for the piercing process, the jewelry we use for initial (and healed) piercings. You can read all about it here!
We even had a video made showing our entire piercing process! Check it out!
How many piercings can I get at one time?
We usually say that 2 is quite safe. If you are comfortable with the piercing process and the healing process, we will sometimes even do 4. You are always welcome to discuss this further with a piercer!
Where can I find my aftercare instructions?
In your receipt email, there is a link to our aftercare. You can also find it here!
Can I request a male, female, or non-binary piercer?
You absolutely can! When you come in for your appointment, just let us know that you’d like to have a male, female, or non-binary piercer pierce you!
Can I see the available jewelry on your website?
On our website, we like to showcase some of our most unique and one-of-a-kind pieces we’ve collected from all over the world. You can see these magnificent beauties here! We don’t have all of our jewelry on the website though. When you come in to get pierced, you’ll see why! We have hundreds of pieces of jewelry to pick from! Our jewelry experts will help you find the perfect piece at the time of your appointment!
Can I request a specific piercer?
When making an appointment online, we aren’t able to schedule with specific piercers. However, you can send us a message through the website and ask when your requested piercer is working that week and schedule your appointment for the appropriate time. Then, you can let us know when you come in which piercer you’d like to work with!
Can I bring my own jewelry to get pierced with?
We typically don’t pierce our clients with jewelry from outside of the studio. We can’t guarantee that the jewelry, purchased outside of our shop has been through the same sterilization process, has a high polish wearing surface free of defects that we require for initial piercings and we also can’t guarantee exactly what types of materials were used. We do thorough research on all of the jewelry we carry to ensure it is of the highest quality and biocompatibility. This also helps to assure that you have the easiest healing process. We follow all of the jewelry standard guidelines set forth by the APP – Association of Professional Piercers. You can read more about this here: https://safepiercing.org/jewelry-for-initial-piercings/ We have a wide selection of jewelry with a large price range. Our jewelry experts will be able to help you pick out the perfect piece! If you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them for you!
I have some concerns about how my piercing is healing. What should I do?
We are here for you throughout the entire process of your piercing! Please come in and see us. It’s very important that we see issues in person. This helps us to determine what the issue is so we’ll be able to give you the best advice.
How long should I wait to go swimming after getting a piercing?
We recommend waiting at least a month after a new piercing before you get back in the pool or hit the beach. Chemicals, bacteria, and sand could all be a threat to your new piercing. If you can’t avoid the water, we suggest using a waterproof patch to cover your new piercing.
I need to take my jewelry out. Can you help?
We are always happy to help! If you are getting a medical procedure, we have retainers that we can put in for you. As long as you purchase the retainer at our studio, we’ll switch your jewelry for free!
If you want to change or take out your jewelry by yourself, we have created a series of videos to show you how our jewelry works. You can check them out here!
Do you pierce minors?
We do! We love piercing minors! However, each of our piercers have different requirements and restrictions regarding clients under the age of 18. You can contact us for more information by reaching out over social media, using the chat feature here on the website, emailing evolved@evolvedbodyart.com, or call us at 614-421-4444. You can also read our minor policy here!
Can I bring my infant or toddler in to get pierced?
Our piercers truly love to pierce children (with their parent’s approval, of course). We think that it is a truly empowering and special experience. It is a special way to bond and to show support for each other. Because of this, we always encourage our friends, family, and clients to wait until the children are old enough to decide for themselves. We have found that by the time kids are 5, they are often more than ready.
If I just want to change my jewelry, how much will that cost?
Yes! We do jewelry changes and can help you understand how your jewelry works all for free. Come in to speak with a piercer!
Do your piercers do snake eye or horizontal tongue piercings?
We do not perform snake eye tongue piercings on our clients. It is an incredibly unsafe piercing. There is a high risk of rejection and it also causes gum damage and can crack or chip your teeth. Our piercers would be more than happy to help you figure out an alternative piercing!
Do daith piercings really help with migraines and headaches?
We absolutely do daith piercings. However, we do not recommend them for any medical reasons. There is no research to support that daith piercings have any curable effects on migraines. With that being said, we love piercing daiths but only recommend them for aesthetic purposes. Our piercers would love to answer any questions you may have about daith piercings!
How long should I wait in between stretching a piercing?
The minimum time you should wait in between stretches is one month but two months is preferred! If there has been any excessive irritation, it will take longer in between stretches as well. The main thing is patience and paying attention to your body.
