The Story of an Artist in Exile
We are all creative beings, there is something unique inside each of us that longs to be expressed in our world, to add to the richness of our human experience. Being an artist is what gives me life, and what I have pursued relentlessly against great odds.
I am from Iran, where the rules about freedom of expression are unlike anywhere in the rest of the world where my art was considered a crime. I spent time in jail, in my own country, for being who I am and doing what I love: I am an artist. I am an artist in exile.
After this experience I knew, nothing would keep me from my work, I will be who I am meant to be in the world.
I moved to Turkey and began work at Cleoptra Ink, a globally renown studio, I have been tattooing for over ten years now.
