I first wandered into the tattoo shop when I was 16, and since then I’ve worked in various places with various people in various styles.
Sometimes I go off on other adventures entirely – But, no matter what I do or where I go, I always end up sitting in a chair drawing on people with needles.
Over the years, I’ve found that the constant work of improving in tattooing is analogous to the work of improving the self – Adjusting styles, mentalities, projections… Like some sort of abstract existential creative input/output simulator that needs regular maintenance, fine-tuning, and upgrades. The experiment’s been running so long, it’s an integral part of what I am. I can’t not do it. I love it.
In most recent time, I’ve enjoyed working primarily in black, focusing on tight lines & patterns. However, I am always looking for ways to morph the previous stylistic focus into something new.
